Yup. Basically a parade using the Block Party floats and the Pixar Play Parade soundtrack. Nothing special at all. Shame.

There are no words. They should be ashamed of themselves.

So so so so so sad. They couldn't even afford to change the music between floats?! The way they painted over the block floats is horrible. I hope this is temporary.

Based on the visuals, this show is more like a "cavalcade", and it would seem that WDW management did the hard working performers a disservice by not outright naming it as such, and intentionally or otherwise leaving the general perception that it was a full blown parade.

I thought Pixar Play Parade was short at times. They didn't even attempt to do Pixar Play Parade, except for the characters. It was good to add the UP people to the grouping, but where are the hover crafts for the Incredibles? Where is the Rattitoui float and the wonderful acrobats that twirl? and more...................I have heard that people say they are disappointed........can see why. I think it would have been better to keep the old parade..............perhaps they couldn't get the acrobats and tumblersand the stilt walkers.

They could have done any number of things. The only reason BPB was stripped down to this was money. They didn't want to keep paying the union performers (Green Army Men and acrobats) and wanted less dancers, without the cost of having to actually build a new parade.

When the first HSM shows made appearances on both coasts, don't remember which came first, I recall the WDW version receiving similarly negative reviews, and the DLR choreography being brought over to replace it. Perhaps the costuming and/or choreography from the PPP could be brought over and at least be added as a stopgap measure until this new show could be reworked? This shouldn't require any "specialty" performers since I presume the current (old BPB) CMs would be allowed to fill the PPP dancing roles. Don't know what can be done about the floats, though, if some of the ones from PPP are not also sent over. Thoughts?

I always found Pixar Play Parade quite short, though not so much the one time I saw it during the summer period and the Ratatouille float was included. Either way, at least with PPP the quality of the floats and the performers was good enough to for the most part make up for the length. This one just looks plain dull and boring. Who wants to look at a couple of basic floats roll past and a few characters move their arms in time to the same music over and over? If they don't want to pay for the performers, then they at least have to make the floats impressive to look at!
