Yay he's dead and everything but the whole thing reeks to me. We kill him and then shove his body out to sea? I don't think so.

When they announced the news and the talk was Osama's body was being brought back to America I was wondering what the hell they would do with it once they got it back. Obviously there would be no burial or grave, so it seemed wierd they'd want to hang onto his body once the announcement was made.

Who knows, maybe this announcement is just to throw people off the scent. I'm sure the conspiracy theories will continue forever on what really happened just as they have about 9/11 itself. Either way, announcing that his body had been disposed of at sea after announcing he had been killed is probably about the best way I can think of that they could deal with the situation.

But, yes, good that he's no longer wandering around whatever the case.

I hate to ring the conspiracy bell as well, but some things smell fishy:

Sure, he was buried. Were they able to do an autopsy? You might say, "He was shot, who cares?" But then I ask, "Who shot him? Which soldier did it?" Again, you might ask, "Who cares?"

To which I respond: Last night, Obama said in his speech: "After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body." I wish to emphasize "After a firefight"." Which means he was killed outside of combat. Was he executed? Did he have a chance to surrender?

The details are too sketchy to lay this to rest.

No we don't. Not with him. I hope it hurt like a mother and that he suffered long enough to see Seal team six urinating on his face as he faded from existence, and when he gets to hell i hope he relives it for an eternity.

Well, I think he did get off easy. I personally would rather he'd been capture and imprisoned for life. Let him live in fear for life, just what he did to us.

But if we stoop to his level, how are we better than him? This no longer becomes a fight for justice and what is right, but merely a superpower bullying those who would harm us. I personally don't want to be a bully. We must act responsibly with our power. (trying to avoid Spiderman quote!!!)

Which is why I would've preferred him to be taken alive. Incarcerate him in a high-security jail with lots of lonely, yet patriotic inmates.

But wishful thinking set aside, the fact is that the world is indeed a better place. I just hope that our boys acted with proper rules of engagement and that justice was rightfully done.
