- This attraction opened February 8, 2001. It’s an opening day attraction!
- This attraction was also an opening day original at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World on April 22, 1998.
- Although “a bug’s land” didn’t open until 2002, It’s Tough To Be A Bug was an opening-day attraction at Disney California Adventure. It was an off-shoot attraction in the farming district of the park playing on the importance of bugs in California agriculture.
- The show features the recurring voice talents of Dave Foley (Flik), Cheech Marin (Chile), Jason Alexander (Acorn Weevil), and Andrew Stanton (Hopper) who voiced their respective characters in the film.
