  • For guests with light stomachs, consider waiting a while after eating a large meal to experience this attraction.
  • The ride is probably gentle enough for the lightest of stomachs so long as you don’t spin the wheel inside the teacup!
  • In the event of heavy rain, the Mad Tea Party can't operate. Keep this in mind if you visit in the rain.

  • This attraction opened on July 17, 1955. It’s an opening day original!
  • The attraction is based on the “Unbirthday” scene of Alice in Wonderland (1954).
  • The attraction was remodeled and relocated in 1983; it formerly existed where King Arthur Carrousel stands today.
  • The operator’s booth is the March Hare’s home from the film, and the chimneystacks form rabbit ears.

Attraction Details

The Mad Tea Party features different turntables to maximize spinning. Six teacups that you can spin yourself are located on 1 small turntable. These turntables rotate counter-clockwise. In total, there are three of these turntables spinning on one larger turntable that rotates clockwise.
