Westworld delivers with amazing new trailer but with some lulls #SDCC

We could not have been more amped up for the HBO Westworld Hall H panel and while we did get to see the amazing season two teaser (shown above) it overall was a pretty disappointing exerience.

Moderator Reggie Watts is unquestionably talented and super smart — and maybe it was an off day — but his tone and energy was just NOT working in the room seating thousands of fans. His questions, while very smart and well-thought out, fell flat and he did very little to spark inspiration from the impressive assemblage of cast and crew.

Being sandwiched schedule-wise inbetween immensely popular Stranger Things and Marvel Studios panel is surely a tough spot but the whole flow of the hour made for a bland nothing sandwich accented only by the side-order of the amazing season two sneak peek.

Panelists included Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, James Marsden, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Angela Sarafyan, Ben Barnes, Jimmi Simpson, Simon Quarterman, and Ingrid Bolsø Berdal plus creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan.

We’re looking forward to Season Two and looking even more forward to a better structured and moderated Season 2 Hall H panel next year.
