Disneyland officially announces Park-specific Blockouts from today forward, June 2019 effective date

Disney confirmed officially today to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders that Annual Passport program will now be moving to Park-specific calendars beginning June 2019.

The changes are NOT retroactive. Disney confirmed that if you purchased and activated your Annual Passport prior to June 1, 2018, your Passport will not be affected until renewal, and you will still continue to have the same Park access based on the Passport type you currently hold.

The changes seem to all but confirm that the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be opening in June. For example, the Deluxe Annual Pass blockout period for June 2018 shows only Saturdays blocked out at Disneyland but for June 2019 we find all Saturdays plus all Fridays and nearly every Sunday, and the entire last week of June. Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure which shows similar Saturday-only blockouts for June 2018, shows ZERO blockouts for June 2019.

Disney recently confirmed Summer 2019 for Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and our guess is that means June!
