It’s decidedly ALWAYS busy at the Disneyland Resort but this weekend proved especially popular as guests poured in for the second weekend of the Disney Holidays celebration PLUS big doings for Mickey and Minnie’s 90th Birthday!
This week, we’ll recap this weekend’s biggest news including Mickey’s 90th Birthday moment on Main Street and the crazy amount of announcements made for the future of the Disney Parks (Star Wars news, entertainment in Florida, new hotels and more) before diving right in to all the goings on at the Happiest Place on Earth.

This weekend at Disneyland, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were joined by Disneyland Resort ambassadors, dozens of Disney characters, and a bunch of fans to celebrate a special 90th birthday moment.

This past weekend, D23 Destination D in Orlando unveiled Disneyland’s plans for the GET YOUR EARS ON – A Mickey and Minnie Celebration that will be coming January 2019 and now we have a few more specific details about what the celebration will entail including a new nighttime projection (with fireworks) show, the return of Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, a special Valentine’s Day month-long celebration, and more.

Matterhorn Bobsleds have finally reopened!
An official entrance and a new queue setup are a much welcomed modification to the area.
Place your little feet to see if you’re tall enough to encounter the big foot inside!
The newer version of ticket scanners are in place here where you insert your ticket/phone for easier scanning.
The queue now has switchbacks in front of the chalet.
The configuration of queue now (mostly) avoids the queue having to traffic jam with the exit on both sides.
Plenty of overflow but when it fills the queue does still go back towards the Tomorrowland side of the mountain.
