Hearty filling meals from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo will help keep travelers at the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge ready to face whatever new adventures await in the new land. Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs (who used to work with Maz Kanata on Takodana) has docked a food freighter loaded with fresh supplies and a menu that’s sure to awaken the senses.

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Menu

Here’s a complete look at the menu inside Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland.

Breakfast Menu

Entrees

  • Rising Moons Overnight Oats ($6.99): Oats, Dragon Fruit, Yogurt, Seasonal Fruit

20190623_100727
Bright Suns Morning ($10.99) features a Three-Cheese Egg Bite, Pork Sausage, Purple Potato Hash, Mini Mustafarian Lava Roll. The eggs are not very cheesy considering there was supposed to be three different kinds and the potatoes on our plate were at the same time under-cooked AND soggy. It was not a great meal.

20190623_100959
Mustafarian Lava Roll ($5.99) is basically a cinnamon roll with a tangy pink sauce with a subtle citrus kick. It’s sprinkled with chocolate cookie crumbles. It’s not bad but ours was a little dry. Perhaps served fresh, or warm, this would be stellar.

Kids’ Meals

20190623_100850
Bright Suns Youngling Breakfast ($6.99) Scrambled Egg, Purple Potatoes, seasonal fresh Fruit served with choice of Small Lowfat Milk or Small Dasani® Water. Without substitution, this meal meets Mickey Check guidelines. When we tasted this dish, the potatoes were at the same time under-cooked AND soggy. It was not a great meal.

Lunch Menu

Entrées

20190531_223547
Smoked Kaadu Ribs ($16.99) includes Sticky Pork Ribs, Blueberry Corn Muffin, Tangy Cabbage Slaw. We found this dish to be actually quite enjoyable, the tangy slaw paired well with the sweetness of the sauce on the ribs. The blueberry cornbread muffin was a nice side of carbs but perhaps not a must-have component to the dish.

20190531_223421
Braised Shaak Roast ($18.99) features Beef Pot Roast, Cavatelli Pasta, Wilted Kale, Mushrooms. What’s not to like here?! Tender juicy beef paired with tender pasta and perfectly paired veggies. You’re a winner, baby.

20190623_113559
Roasted Endorian Tip-yip Salad ($13.99) features Marinated Chicken with Mixed Greens, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables, Quinoa, and Pumpkin Seeds, tossed in Green Curry Ranch. This was surprisingly delightful. The chicken was flavored very well served slightly warm over the fresh crisp bed of greens. The quinoa was sparse and added a nice texture to the kale and other greens. curried pieces of cauliflower provided a nice crunch and it all complimented the dressing quite well. This is definitely a winner of a dish!

20190608_150116
LUNCH EXCLUSIVE: Felucian Garden Spread ($12.99) features balls of a plant-based “Kefta” that is honestly fantastic. It tastes super great, well-seasoned, and you’d probably be hard-pressed to discern it wasn’t meat if you weren’t told ahead of time. It’s served over an Herb Hummus with Tomato-Cucumber Relish and toasted Pita triangles. Great flavors but we can’t imagine many would find this dish vert filling.

20190531_223617
Fried Endorian Tip-yip ($15.49) features Crispy Chicken, Roasted Vegetable Potato Mash, Herb Gravy. The potatoes with peas and carrots mixed in were delightful and the salsa-verde gravy was actually a delicious complement to the creaminess of the starch. That’s about the best we can say about the dish. The chicken itself is not good. I likened it to hospital food and someone else we talked to said it reminded them of their high school cafeteria. It’s certainly not inedible but it’s definitely easy to skip. Sashay away.

20190608_150135
Yobshrimp Noodle Salad ($15.99) features Chilled Shrimp, Marinated Noodles, Vegetables, and Cilantro. It’s very refreshing and comes with an impressive dozen shrimp atop the chilled noodles. The dish gives vibes of a nice fresh shrimp ceviche. What we found was that despite the generous portion of shrimp that the dish itself was not entirely filling.

Kids’ Meals

For guests ages 3-9. Meals include choice of Small Lowfat Milk or Small Dasani® Water.

Oi-oi Puff ($6.49) features a Raspberry Cream Puff wrapped in green tea cake and filled with Passion Fruit Mousse. This was fun, unique, and delightful. It tastes exotic yet familiar at the same time!

20190531_223702 20190531_225135

Batuu-bon ($6.99) is Chocolate Cake, White Chocolate Mousse, Coffee Custard combined together in a beautiful presentation with a mango puree and bits of green tea cake and a chocolate Black Spire Outpost coin. The dessert looks a lot like the ones served on Pandora in Walt Disney World but we’re not mad about it. The flavor here is great but nothing necessarily original but when it’s chocolate you don’t have to get crazy. The mango puree provides a nice way to give the dish some balance to the forces of the dish.

Specialty Beverages

20190623_101107

Phattro ($5.49) features Gold Peak® Unsweetened Tea, Odwalla® Lemonade, Desert Pear. Out of the drinks we tried at this location, this was our definitely favorite!

20190620_130817

Moof Juice ($5.49) from Docking Bay 7 is made with Simply Fruit Punch®, Simply Orange® with Pineapple, Chipotle-Pineapple. This essentially tastes like fruit punch but not in that gut-punch sort of way that it typically hits your taste buds. The flavor is mellowed out somewhat by the other flavors but it’s still a very sweet concoction. I had hoped that the Chipotle-Pineapple would have given this a more unique edge but the end result is a pleasant but not terribly special beverage.

20190704_171413

Batuubucha Tea ($5.49) is literally just Suja® Pineapple Passionfruit Kombucha™ so if you’ve ever had it before you basically know what you’re getting into. If you’ve never had kombucha before you might not want this to be your first experience as it’s definitely an acquired taste.

Regular Beverages

  • Fountain Drinks: Coca-Cola®, Diet Coke®, Coke Zero Sugar®, Sprite®, Powerade® Mountain Berry Blast, Minute Maid® Light Lemonade
  • More Libations: Dasani®  bottled water,  Black Caf, Coffee

A mishmash of barrel chairs and benches pair with tables and re-purposed shipping containers. The vibe is decidedly hipster chic. Only thing missing is a boba station and some IPAs.
