Playing to a completely full Room 6A at San Deigo Comic-Con, Disney unveiled an exclusive look at their upcoming animated feature MOANA.

There was huge applause as always for directors Ron Clements and John Musker; you know them, right? The duo behind a few small projects like (Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, Treasure Planet, Princess and the Frog… They are also behind the upcoming MOANA which will feature a Polynesian princess on an ancient adventure.

Along with a panel of crew that included writer Jared Bush, Head of Animation Amy Smeed, and Producer Osnat Shurer, they gave a behind-the-scenes look at the sweeping, CG-animated, feature film about a spirited teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people.

A a special surprise, Auli’i Cravalho took to the stage to share some of her experiences working on the project.

In the panel, we were treated to a few minutes of the film’s opening number along with several clips and scenes including baby Moana’s magial encounter with water, Moana’s first interaction with Maui, and the adorable test animation footage of Pua the pig.

In the film, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.

MOANA fails into theaters November 23, 2016.
