Disney continues to add star power to the Star Wars Hans Solo spin-off movie. News broke earlier this month that Michael K Williams has joined the cast. Williams is renowned for his role in the hit series The Wire. Although he is yet to sign on the dotted line at this stage it seems like that is just a mere formality. The star will be joining other Hollywood A-listers (being in this movie makes him an A-lister right?) including Emilia Clarke from GOT and Woody Harrelson who will be playing the role of the mentor to Hans. Alden Ehrenreich gets lead role in this movie as the titlular hero.
The role that Williams will be playing is not yet known, like many other things about the movie! Williams’ vast experience in demanding roles is suited for any role in the movie. In the past the star has appeared in Assassins’ Creed, Inherent Vice and the latest Ghostbusters. He is more popularly known for his role as Chalky in Boardwalk Empire. Recently the actor also starred in the miniseries When We Rise.
Despite all the star power that is being pulled for the movie it is unlikely that it would flop. Almost everything that has been associated with the very successful Star Wars franchise has had its own success.
