Twenty-Five Years of The Nightmare Before Christmas with D23 landed at San Diego Comic-Con bringing with it a retrospective look back at the film with key players who helped bring the movie to life including Henry Selick (director), Anthony Scott (animator), Edie Ichioka (editor), Bill Boes (assistant art director), Kelly Asbury (art director), and moderator Neil Gaiman.
This second-ever panel for Disney D23 proved to be a memorable one with the impressive assemblage of people who were so vital to helping bring Tim Burton’s vision to life. From old photos and concept drawings to anecdotes and even an actual miniature set piece mockup, there was a lot to take in about the little stop-motion project which has since grown into a gargantuan Disney hit.
