HBO NOW celebrating 30 years of HONEY, I SHRUNK THE KIDS

giphyHONEY, I SHRUNK THE KIDS proved to be a strong Disney franchise that launched several sequels and even a pair of Disney Park attractions! The iconic film blew up box offices on theaters in its original release on June 23, 1989.

Rick Moranis is the quirky inventor Wayne Szalinsk who creates a temperamental shrinking machine. The film follows the Szalinski kids (and their neighborhood friends) who accidentally shrink themselves. They find themselves on a harrowing adventure to survive a series of otherwise mundane tasks including navigating past a pet dog, surviving a bowl of cereal, and dealing with all that mother natures has to offer when you’re the size of an ant.
